CLASSIFICATION: UNCLASSIFIED
CAVEAT: None

On 4 June 1970 Sergeant Harry T. Wilson was a crew member aboard a CH-46D
helicopter which was descending into a landing zone to pick up a
reconnaissance team. The helicopter was hit by ground fire and crashed
approximately 35 kilometers east of Ban Chakeuy Tai and five kilometers
northwest of Ban Plok, Xekong Province. Extraction attempts were unsuccessful
and we was declared unaccounted for.

DoD has conducted in depth research, several investigations and two
excavations-- but the whereabouts of Sergeant Wilson remains have not yet been
determined. Our investigators continue to actively review his case to
determine what additional steps can be undertaken to locate him.

I hope this has been helpful.

Best regards,

Cheryl Holm
