Wanted to let you know that my ex brother-in-law, longtime friend from 'back in the day' Steve E. Backlund
passed away on 02 Oct. 2012. A little difficult at the end, but the hospital and hospice made him as comfortable as possible. Most of his brother's knew about his battle with alcohol and have been advised.
He served in the '66-67' era as an air-crewman.
There will be no funeral. Steve's wish is to be cremated and his ashes will be taken to the local Veteran's Nat'l cemetery on 10 Nov. (pending approval) Those who knew him...loved him. He will be missed.
Anyone wishing to send condolences, can send them to his daughter and/or son
