In the January issue there is a fascinating story of VMO-6 starting with the first days of the Korean War to the end. What is interesting are the photos of the HO's and the OY Stinson. That is the old fabric job used for observation, supply and medivac. This A/C had a compartment behind the seats with a fold-down door so that it could take on a single stretcher born patient. It was one busy aircraft before the arrival of the OE. Wondering how many guys around still remember that one.

Still here !! It (OY) was part of VMO-2 along with the HTL-3 when we first formed at LTA (MCAF) 1951 I was Line Chief Later at AES 41 in 1947/48 I was NCOIC on the OY overhaul line at the Cherry Pt O&R. My Friend & Class Mate NAP Msgt Pete Bender was captured in China while flying the OY in1947. He was a POW until his wife raised hell in Congress to get him released just before the Korean War started in 1950 .
