I was at CamPen when VMO-5 became HML-267 in 68. Spent most of 69 in VMO-2, MMAF, flying OV-10s.

I was stationed with HML-267 after I got out of flight school June 1969 till late Nov. 1969 when I went to HML-167 at Marble Mountain. While I was with HML-267 I coached the squadron tackle football team to the West Coast Championship with a 14-0 record. Do you know any of the Marines from the team?

Hello
I was assigned to H&MS 16 during that time frame. I came to Marble Mtn and the Group in the Spring of 1969. I had been assigned as the 1st MAW Liaison NCO at Camp Hansen Okinawa.
I got hijacked on my my for third tour in 1st Maw. Pulled off aircraft for a six month TDY detail greeting RVN bound flights and getting names and mos information for the Wing G-1 shop. I was promised choice of assignment to any in country unit after completing the TDY.
My actual assignment in H&Ms 16 was group supply. Travelled to various units to teach younger Marines new Navy Supply procdures. The promoted to Ssgt and sent to Mag 32 Beufort, SC to
work on the AV8A Harrier Project.

I was in Pendleton to learn about the OV-10s right after school in 1968 ( around may or june ). Left there for New River where I was the only person who had seen an Ov-10. Left there and joined HML-167 in Jan of 1969 and departed for the states in Dec. 1969.

I remember you Allyn Hinton. Did you play with the Hml-167 football on the beach? I have a few pics of one of our games.

All the squadrons had a flag football team. I played on the 167 team Sep. to Nov. 1970

Seems we were in HML 167 for a short time together in Dec. '69. I got my orders home on Christmas day '69. I was night NCOIC of hydraulic shop night crew.
Yes I receive your HML 167 reunion information letters. Have not been able to attend any as of yet but would really like to.

I was with H&MS-11 Avionics from March 69 until March 70, but had several TADs to the H&MS-16 Avionics shop to work on APR-27s. I ran into a high school classmate there, Eddie Gamble from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Anyone remember him?

I was with H&MS 16 in the parachute loft (sans parachutes) from late 1968 to about October 1969 when I was transferred to Iwakuni, Japan. I was a gunner with HMM 263 during the summer of 1969. I can't believe there was organized football when I was there and I was never aware of it. I played ball at Santa Ana airbase before I went overseas.
