Memorial Day weekend will soon be here. Why not join POPASMOKERS at The Wall? The "crew" will be setting up the tent (hootch) again near 20th and Constitution on Friday evening 25 May 2007. Everyone is invited to help the setup on the 25th, man the tent over the weekend, and greet the many veterans and families who come to pay tribute.
The POPASMOKE wreath laying ceremony will be at 1030 hrs on Monday 28 May 2007. Muster for the ceremony will be at the POPASMOKE hootch at 1000 hrs.
Please contact "Crazy Joe" Scholle, Larry Zok or Marion Sturkey if you can help with this important POPASMOKE event.

On Saturday, there will be a "Support the Troops Rally" - please try to make it. On Sunday - well, Rolling Thunder - and you owe it to yourself to see it once in your life. As Joe said, please try to make it. We can use the help.

We need help!!!!!!Friday night set up at 1900 in the vicinity of 20th St & Constitution. Opening by 0800 on Saturday (Crazy Joe hopefully recovered from an Annapolis Graduation and party). Saturday & Sunday will be big crowd days. Please try to make it sometime during each day. Thanks

The young lady is Mary Ellen Saba, sister of Cpl Tom Saba, KIA 02/07/07 Iraq (Incident Report 07/02/07) who presented our Memorial Wreath on Memorial Day. The one photo with the Sailer (Cdr Art Slagle, gunner HMM-364 Viet Nam and the 2 guys in Black Col Jim Perryman and Col Ron Gatewood both of HMM-262 Viet Nam) to tie with the crash of 69/02/07. The 07 crew was carrying a flag in rememberance of the 69 crew.
