Below is an updated listing of hotels we have signed with to make up for the 500 hotel rooms that we lost when the Radisson Plaza Hotel Fort Worth cut our contracted room block by 150 rooms and the 350 rooms we lost when the Fort Worth Plaza Hotel unexpectedly shut down their operations for renovations. Originally we had a total of 830 rooms contracted, we now have 865 rooms. Unfortunately these new hotels come with some minor inconvenience. They are located from 3 ½ miles to 7 miles from the convention center. To help reduce this inconvenience, I am working with the Fort Worth Visitor & Convention Bureau to set up a shuttle that will move people from the convention center to these outlying hotels. This should eliminate the need to rent a vehicle, avoid the hotel parking fees and also allow everyone to relax and enjoy a few cocktails and not worry about driving back to their hotels. One other thing, it is my understanding that both the Park Central and the Radisson are full.
