The cost per individual to travel from DCA to the Hilton by commercial shuttle service is very high (somewhere between $55 and $200).

Has Popasmoke any provision for providing low cost transportation for reunion attendees? It is not too late to contract a charter bus service.

If the organization as a whole cannot provide such a service, then are there other squadrons that will join with HMM-365 to form a shuttle co-op to provide airport-hotel shuttle service for their members?

Such service can be through commercial charter companies or by renting self drive automobiles or vans.

Misinformation

Mr. DelRosario

Why do you continue to post erroneous information about this reunion????

R. Reagan Washington National Airport

Distance from hotel: 6 mi.
Drive time: 20 min.

Directions: Follow signs to Washington/14th Street Bridge. Go across bridge into Washington, D.C. Take 14th Street to K Street N.W. Turn left on K Street, then right on Connecticut Avenue. Address is 1919 Connecticut Avenue N.W.

Get turn by turn directions.

Transportation to and from the Airport Type Typical Minimum Charge
Subway/Rail 4.00 USD
Taxi 19.00 USD

Now, if you fly into IAD, then it will cost you more. You can take the bus from there to Falls Church Metro Stop for $19 and then catch the Metro. You will be on the Orange Line and when you get to the Metro Center, you switch to the Red Line North to the Dupont Circle Metro. Less than $5 for metro.

Shuttle transportation

My apologies. I jumped the gun as far as posting about the shuttle service.

HMM-365 has solved its own transportation service concerns.

See you all in DC.

Whoa,

Mis-information aside, I think Mr. DelRosairo was just trying to help defray the costs associated with the D.C. area. Your information was very helpful as I too, am not familiar with that L.Z.

Lighten up, Larry

shuttle service

We saved about $500 on our 4 tickets flying into Baltimore vs the DC airports and taking a shuttle to hotel. We booked thru Super Shuttle and it cost us $75 one way for the four of us from the airport. The 1st passenger in the party is $35 and each additional is $12 plus a $4 airport surcharge for your party. We found that most flights into Baltimore were cheaper.
