I find this name on the list of deceased after returning to CONUS. Did he serve with HMMT-301 at Santa Ana some time between 1966 and 1968?
I'm trying to connect a name and face with a heroic avionics officer who stopped a suicide attempt in hangar one or two, probably in 1967. It was a suspenseful hour or so while this played out in the rafters of the old hangar.

My father was an Asst. Airfield Operations Captain at the Santa Ana Marine base around that period of time(1966-67). We eventually moved to Thailand with Air America. I would appreciate any details concerning this event. Please feel free to contact me at CRISLT@aol.com.
