E-mail from Jim Todd.

Hi, Tim -

Thanks. Didn't go into the Forum, but did update my previous info. Altho', i'm sure, when i entered original info many years ago, it probably disappeared.

Last (only) reunion that i've attended was in DC in 2001, when the NOK were honored. Went to that reunion with Bill Strickler and brought the NOK of Fred Smith (KIA 9/'70). Since then, had not heard another word from HMM-262, thus we missed all of the reunions since 2001.

We (Strickler, Smith NOK and i) are planning to attend the PopaSmoke Reunion in Reno in 2010 - will there be an HMM-262 presence in Reno?

Very much appreciate your "Welcome" e-mail, and am looking forward to getting involved more heavily in unit activities.

Reunion - Reno 2010

I was with HMM-262 from Aug. 70 to Oct. 71 (crew chief). I will be in Reno 2010. I went to HMM-262 reunion last July. There were 3 avionics people and 1 hyd. person at the reunion. The other people were in Vietnam about the same time I was in Vietnam. They all said they wanted to go to Reno.

I was in HMM-262 the night that a helo crashed (9/70). Sgt. Leo Beach was the crew chief.

I crashed myself on 19 April 1971.
