Marine aviators, of the earlier days, were the most expert Garb Ass Artists the Corps ever produced. I admit I was one, but far from the only participant of the art. While laughing out loud on the phone with Johnny Longdin, another fine expert and a partner of mine in a number of “missions”, decided we need to collect the stories now. As we old timers are losing both altitude and airspeed, and low and slow is not good, it is time to get this done.
