A very loose group has formed to begin coordinating the HMM-161 assault on Fort Worth 10-13Aug2006. Joe Snyder, Mike McElwee, Tom Martindale and I are welcoming any recruits, "lessons learned" and/or new ideas. We will use this site, as well as our email distribution list (if not on that, send to ccsonger@comcast.net), to keep you posted on our planning. Stay tuned to POPASMOKE for general info.

Pls. help us find and invite our brothers from Korea and Middle East combat assignments as well.

Keep your turns up & keep smilin'.

"Joe,

There are several venues near downtown that might work for your event on August the 12th. One of the most popular venues is the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. There is a nice open area in the museum featuring pictures of Texas and would accommodate a party of 30 perfectly. Does this sound like something you might be interested in?

The Pour House

She's right. The Pour House is really cool and just a couple blocks from the Convention Center. The have a separate dining room and a big balcony ouside they said they'd like banners to be displayed on.

Fox and Hound also has a big upstairs balcony area with pool tables and eating space for up to 175.

Don't overlook the Reata. Their rooftoop dining is awesome and the food is unbeatable.
